Paediatric Occupational Therapy
We support and train children, junior youth and youth to carry out their role and occupation be it at home, school, or any other social environment including:
  • Taking care of themselves by carrying out daily functional tasks such as washing, bathing, toileting, dressing and being independent at mealtimes.
  • Participation in learning and making friends at nursery or school.
  • Participation in leisure activities alone or with family and friends.
The goal is to facilitate aspects of performance that can enhance development and daily life functioning, including fine motor, sensory regulation, and self-care skills.
Handwriting
We have one of our occupational therapist specialising in handwriting skills particularly for children 4 years and above.

Handwriting skill is a complex skill in itself. Understanding the underlying reason with the right strategies and a mindful approach enables children to build confidence within their studies and communicate better the concepts they learn along the way.

Teletherapy Testimonials:
-Mrs Liew
Very good experience as parents can discuss with therapist regarding varieties of approach on-the-fly and improvise according to I's response. Combination of teletherapy and visits can provide parents more ideas on personal sessions at home. I wish the teletherapy to be continued as an option in the future.     -Mr T
A has successfully managed to go toilet (to pee or to pass motion) by himself. This is one of the most amazing moment and achievement for me. Thanks to Mr Khor for every single guidelines and ideas to help me in guiding and also understanding A even better. Teletherapy has given me a chance to monitor my son in a correct way under given guidelines. This makes me to understand my son even better and also able to help him in a precise way of what he really needs. Parents need to understand their child first before a good guideline or solution can be applied. The key in order to make everything become possible: patience of parents in spending time with kid and record or note down everything (response, action and emotion from kid when handling tasks) and to be discussed with the therapist, Mr Khor for sure in my case. And most important of all, never give up hope as children are the most valuable and precious gifts from God to us as parents. Thanks.      -Mdm Aruni
